Usually it’s one of three things:
- Post Content
- Sidebar Content
- Bad Scripting
Post Content: To many posts showing on the home page can be a problem, especially if there a lot of graphics, videos, etc. I would suggest limiting how many posts you show on the homepage to 5 or less.
Sidebar Content: Do you have a lot of stuff in your sidebar, especially graphics? Try putting things into drop down menus. An excellent script to try is Flooble’s Expandable Content generator. It’s very user friendly. Another route is to create pages for different things. In WordPress, this is easy. For Blogger users, create posts for the different sections, date them to before your first post & then link to them in your sidebar.
Bad Scripting: Have you recently uploaded a plugin? It might have something to do with that. Try deactivating it and see if your blog now loads faster.
